Thank you for your support and desire to spread the word about this amazing event #KBUncomplicated coming up on September 6th. It is going to be an entertaining and energetic night full of songs, stories, visual art, and great food! 

This event is a fun way to introduce everyone to The Fountain. This ministry will give space to and center the stories and experiences of African-American women and other women of color. The heart of The Fountain is to serve and support women in meaningful ways that would intersect and reconcile culture, faith, and creativity.  

Katina is excited to share parts of her own complicated journey that has led her to this specific calling from God. She wants you to be the first to bear witness to what God is doing and see how she is responding to God’s call with a courageous and uncomplicated YES. 

You, too, can respond with an uncomplicated ‘yes’ in support of Katina and The Fountain in various ways: Pray. Share. Attend. Give. 

PRAY

• Pray for Katina and her family as they embark on this new chapter. Ask the Lord to give them peace and rest amongst the hard work and many changes this will bring them. 

• Pray for protection over the event, band, guest artists, and production staff who have worked so hard and given so much of themselves, and all the attendees. 

• Pray that the reach of #KBUncomplicated would be far and wide in order to build a strong foundation of community for The Fountain. 

• Pray for protection over Katina’s heart and mind as she continues to share from a place of deep vulnerability.

ATTEND

• Buy your tickets in advance at thefountain.space/kbuncomplicated ($12.50 for 1 or $23 for 2).

• You can also buy tickets at the door for $15 each.

SHARE

• Know someone who might enjoy the amazing food, art, or music of #KBUncomplicated? Tell them about it! Better yet, invite them to go with you.

• Are you a part of a small group or community that is exploring the topic of racial reconciliation? Share this event with them, and attend as a group! Come learn more about The Fountain, who it serves, and how we can all join together in community and support. 

• If you can’t attend but want to support the event, feel free to go to the website and purchase tickets for us to donate to Denton County Friends of the Family. We would love to give someone else the opportunity to attend for free in your place. In the field where it asks your name, just type “Denton Co FotF”.

• Go to thefountain.space/media to find sample social media posts with downloadable graphics for you to share with your friends and family. 

• We would love it if you would commit to sharing and/or reposting info about #KBUncomplicated four times in the coming days leading up to the event on Sept. 6th. On Instagram, you can follow and repost info from @katinamusic, or like and share at facebook.com/katinamusic. As the event grows closer, the more reposts the better!

GIVE

• Your talents and time are so valuable! If you don’t have the coins to drop but want to give, we would love for you to donate your time. If you feel you have a special talent or skill to contribute to #KBUncomplicated on Sept. 6th, email info@thefountian.space and let us know how you’d like to be involved. 

• Right now we are still looking for:

  • Security volunteers

  • Parking attendants

  • Light snacks and drinks for the green room and production meeting

• We need to identify 35 people who can give $100 or 70 people who can give $50. This will pay for the event and give The Fountain the proper amount for startup costs beyond the ticket sales. Go to thefountain.space/kbuncomplicated; under Ticket Options, select $50 donation or $100 donation. Simply choose the amount, add it to your cart, and check out.
